Lifting Equipment Certification

General information

Our Company is authorized by the Ministry of Labour- Department of Inspection, to carry out Technical Inspections on lifting machinery of all types (EEAM8).

The Department of Labour Inspection announced and reminds that employers have the obligation to check their lifting machinery and its equipment based on the Regulations.

Categories Falling under the Application of the Legislation:

  • Vehicle tow cranes
  • Manual machines with a capacity over 100kg
  • Non-self-propelled lifts and hydraulic mechanisms (rings) with scissor platforms with a lifting capacity exceeding 200kg
  • Lifting machines (parrots – grabbers – skip – garbage trucks – vehicle transport) on board a vehicle for loading and unloading the vehicle itself with a lifting capacity of less than 5000 kg
  • Lifting machines that are the lifts – (lifting household goods, building materials)
  • Concrete Pumps
  • Forklifts used exclusively for lifting loads (pallets – sacks)
  • Vehicle lifting platforms (vehicle garage rings) (IKTEO)
  • Feeding platforms, feeding or lifting platforms for people with disabilities with a risk of falling from a height of less than 3 meters
  • Lifting (Telescopic) for which there is a risk of the operator or other person or cargo falling into or on it from a height of more than 3 meters
  • Construction lifting machinery such as cranes, gantry cranes, basket trucks and excavators (wheeled or trucks).
  • Cranes operating in steelworks, foundries or other processing premises with a capacity of less than 2000 kg
  • Cranes with a lifting capacity of less than 5000 kg
  • Wall mounted or mast cranes with a lifting capacity of less than 2000 kg
  • Lifting machinery on board a vehicle for loading and unloading the vehicle itself with a lifting capacity equal to or greater than 5000 kg
  • Cranes operating near the sea, such as shipbuilding zone cranes and port service cranes
  • Cranes operating on premises where flammable, explosive, toxic or corrosive substances (A.D.R.) as defined in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 with a lifting capacity equal to or greater than 2000 kg are handled or used
  • Gantry cranes with a lifting capacity equal to or greater than 5000 kg
  • Tower type cranes
  • Mobile cranes, excluding loaders on vehicles for loading and unloading the same vehicle (Loader cranes).
  • Wall or mast cranes with a lifting capacity equal to or greater than 2000 kg
  • Lifting machinery used exclusively for handling containers and/or vessels
